Description

Alpines Bauen - Research and Transfer Centre acts as a know-how carrier for resource-conserving and sustainable building. It offers small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular access to the latest research results and innovative developments in the construction sector and sustainable urban development.

The centre focuses on application-oriented transdisciplinary research, the transfer of research results to industry and the initiation of joint research and development projects between industry and science. The research centre is concerned with solutions for intelligent, networked buildings and the simulation of buildings in the settlement context. The centre focuses on the simulation and implementation of measures in which buildings are understood in the context of their location and the surrounding infrastructure networks.

Key findings

Prototype results from the preliminary project Alpine Building Center are transferred into application-oriented solutions and are available as a basis for further research and knowledge transfer.
Professionalization is taking place in the key areas of building envelopes, energy systems and settlement systems. Interdisciplinary issues in these three subject areas are being further developed and methods for this are being honed.
