Josef Ressel Centre for Dependable System-of-Systems Engineering

Project: Funded research

Project Details

Description

At the Josef Ressel Centre for Dependable System-of-Systems Engineering, methods are being researched to develop complex and distributed cyber-physical systems in such a way that reliable operation is guaranteed.

The Josef Ressel Centre for Dependable System-of-Systems Engineering (JR Centre DeSoS) was initiated out of the Centre for Secure Energy Informatics (ZSE), which in turn emerged from the first "Josef Ressel Center for User-Centric Smart Grid Privacy, Security and Control" at the FH Salzburg (2013-2017). The centre is funded by the Federal Ministry for Labour and Economy.

At the JR Centre DeSoS, research is conducted on model-based development methods that enable a holistic view of complex systems. The focus here is on the integration of different stakeholders from various technical as well as non-technical disciplines.

Together with the company partners, different approaches are being researched in the application domains of automotive, smart grid, smart cities and Industry 4.0. The holistic modelling of complex systems should enable the design, analysis and realisation of reliable systems.

In addition, a consideration and analysis of system-of-systems will be made possible.
