Description
The IDA Lab Salzburg is a competence center for fundamental and applied research, as well as for knowledge and technology transfer in the fields of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Statistics.
The core philosophy of the IDA Lab lies in collaboration with companies and industry, where better solutions than the existing ones are needed, or entirely new approaches to problems in the areas of Machine Learning, Statistics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) must be developed. The IDA Lab is interested in long-term partnerships and exciting, data-driven projects.
The Salzburg University of Applied Sciences focuses within the lab team "Data Science for Digital Transformation" on application-oriented fundamental research to support the availability and effective use of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In particular, we are dealing with the so-called small-data challenge in the areas of natural language processing (NLP) and industrial production/control systems.
In addition to project-based collaboration, the IDA Lab also plans to organize workshops and seminars.
