Digitalisation in Production - Smart Factories

With the qualification network Digitalization in Production – Smart Factories, a high-quality and sustainable knowledge base is to be established in western Austria (Salzburg, Tyrol, and Vorarlberg). Using a phased model (Industry 4.0 Maturity Index), complex training content is offered in various formats (in-person training, e-learning, and blended learning).

The consortium consists of six academic partners and 27 industrial partners from the manufacturing sector (e.g., the electrical industry, plastics technology, food industry, wood industry, and more). As part of the project, 207 employees will be trained in digitalization in production at locations in Salzburg, Kufstein, Innsbruck, and Dornbirn.

A key role is played by the infrastructure at these four locations, each equipped with model factories (Smart Factories).
