Project Details
Description
The goal of the project is to implement and test 5G use cases in various scenarios at different locations in Salzburg, to determine whether the features promised in the standard can hold up in practice. After building the necessary infrastructure, the 5G network will be specifically evaluated in one or two selected scenarios with regard to security and privacy.
Together with SRFG, FHS will establish an industrial testbed for the measurement and documentation of real-time behavior and determinism in 5G. Initially, scenarios involving robots, where 5G is used as part of the control chain, will be developed separately at the Urstein and Itzling locations. Measurements will determine latency and minimum cycle times. Finally, a cross-location demonstrator will enable the distributed interaction of two systems via 5G to allow for additional measurements and evaluations.
